RESCUE

Lateral thinking, initiative, discipline & knowledge are musts in a rescue situation. Using the minimum gear to maximum effect in that first "golden hour" + being prepared for any rescue emergency + being able to train volunteers in basic rescue skills to a standard so that they could lead others to safety in a crisis situation are the aims of the Gisborne Community Rescue Squad. Training every Thursday evening, building & maintaining gear, regular real life rescue exercises with virtually no financial backing show the sense of dedication & community caring that this group has built up over the past 3 years.

Thanks to Blake Keane for allowing the squad the use of his building for this exercise.
