ENGAGEMENT: CULPAN ~ KELLETT. From Kenya, Rick and Lu are happy to announce their engagement. Rick (Patrick) is the son of Joan and Brian Culpan of Gisborne and Lu (Annaloulse) is the daughter of Frank and Moyra Kellett, Dublin, Ireland. During their time in Kenya, Rick and Lu have been working for the United Nations. As Logistics Officer, Rick has been based in Lokichogio, 5kms south of the Sudan Boarder. Lu is Programme Officer for UNICEF, stationed in Waat, Just north of the Sudan Boarder. Top photo shows Rick in backgroung assisting with the loading of a Hercules C130 for an airdrop over Waat. Photo 2 shows the feeding centre in Waat where Lu works. The UN put down water bores and the population has gone from 5000 to 57000 in 18 months.
