Guest speaker at the commemoration service was Major Noel Taylor E.D. RNZIR, originally from Gisborne and now living in Auckland.

The parade approaches the Cenotaph led by the City of Gisborne Pipe Band and President of the RSA Mr. B.R. Emerson.
