NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
Gisborne surfers made a huge impression at the 1994 National Surf Titles held in Dunedin. Damon Gunness won the Junior and Cadets picking up the Mike Glover and the NZSRA Trophies. Chris Malone came 2nd to Damon in the Juniors by a count back. In the Open Final Chris was pipped into 3rd. John Gisby won the Veterans and the Masters which doubled for him to win Gold Medals in the Masters Games. The white trophies are hand carved from Oamoru Stone.
