Upper Hutt brother and sister pair, Seymour and Amiria Harawira, jigged and jived their way to the top at the South Pacific Rock 'n Roll Championships in Sydney. Despite being among the youngest couples, they won the the Adult Open Pairs award. Seymour and Amiria are the grandchildren of Maysie and Dick Keefe (Gisborne) and great grandchildren of the late Rongo and Amiria (Emily) Ria of Manutuke.

Jane Ward was presented two trophies by the PB Womens Football Association. Jane was selected to join the training squad for the Under 19 Central Region. She was named Player of the Year and Most Promising Player Under 19 1993.

Riverdale School annually award the Goldsbury Cups for Best All Round Girl and Boy. The 1993 Joint winners were Mary Tu and Kate MacGregor while Dane Siu and Aaron Young shared the cup for boys. Pictured with these achievers is Brent Crawford the School Principal.
