Lieutenant Ian A. Shaw was granted a Queens Commission in Dec 1993. After 21yrs of army service Lt. Shaw is Senior Instructor In the School of Catering, Waiouru. Ian is the son of John and Sheila Emmanuel of Gisborne and was educated at Te Wharau, llminster and Gis Boys' High schools. His Pips and Sword were presented by Colonel Roger Charles Mortlock, C 0 Waiouru Army Camp. Col Mortlock, the son of Ann and the late Charles Mortlock of Argyll St, went to Kaiti, Gis Intermediate and Gis Boys' High schools. He was awarded an OBE in the New Years Honours List. Janet Shaw assisted Col Mortlock (right) to attach Lt Shaw's pips at the ceremony.
