Christmas Parade

The rain stayed away but the crowd didn't. Thousands of enthusiastic people lined Gladstone Road to watch over 50 floats, motorbikes, bands and assorted characters take part in the annual Christmas Parade. This was the biggest, brightest and best ever and certainly the most colourful. Central School won the best float which featured their school play followed by Surf City Junior Rockers. Third equal were the Gisborne Junior Rockers and Te Karaka School.
