RODEO

Courage, grit and determination along with a large quantity of talent were basic requirements for the 100 or so competitors at the annual Gisborne rodeo held in scorching heat at the Showgrounds. It was literally a case of "biting the dust" for competitors and spectators alike but the excitement of man against beast was great entertainment for the many locals and visitors who jammed every vantage point to watch.
