Wainui School

One could be forgiven for believing that a small piece of Ireland had been transplanted into Wainui School because the playground was full of little green people. The occassion was the conclusion of a study unit by Room 5 on the Irish. A special guest who hails from Ballyshannon answered questions and showed the children some traditional Irish jewellery, Celtic art, Bainin and played a tin whistle as well as singing some folksongs.
