A Twist in Time

A musical comedy performed by the senior class at Central School. The story and songs set in the Edo period in Japan were written by Bernadette Busch and Norm Grey. There was a cast of 77 children and 14 scenes accompanied by in house musicians Norm Grey (piano) John McLean (drums) Mary-Jane Revington (keyboards) and Sherrill Beale (percussion) The attention given to the fine details in the scenery, props and costumes made for unforgetable entertainment. Bravo Central School.

Kazuo (Alister Swney) and Yoshi (James McKnight) found a time travelled English Gentleman who would use his knowledge of the future to invent things that would solve Tokugawa's money problems.

Edward G. Blakemore ( Shaun McCracken) a foreigner faced with death is threatened by Tokugawa's samurai.

One of the inventions that could save Tokugawa's garden from being taken was a potato peeler but none sold in the market place as there were no potatoes in Japan.

One of the inventions proved to be the solution to the money problem. However a new craze was started with the next invention as worn in the final scene.
