The NZ Film Archive and the Bank of NewZealand have joined forces to find and save early NZ film. The Last Film Search is a race against time to find and restore those movies recorded on nitrate film which might disintegrate and will be lost forever. A screening, at the Odeon, of the funeral of Sir James Carroll 1926, the Napier Earthquake 1931 and the movie Broken Barrier 1952 are examples of the worthiness of the project.
