Rothmans Rally

The Rothmans Rally of New Zealand thun dered into town after completing the tough Motu and Whakarau Road special stages. Scot Colin McRae and Navigator Derek Ringer of the Subaru team were the eventual winners of a very competitive battle.

The Chris Joblin Motors of Wairoa entry, leading N Z car, Group N. With a support crew of 14 they were running 2nd to a Japanese works team.
