Lester Evans and Joan Young were married recently at Matawai. Friends and family had travelled to attend Lester's 50th birthday. After watching the rugby on TV, Joan announced their wedding would take place that afternoon. Celebrations were double and the night was enjoyed by all at the Matawai fire station.
