MOANANUI LONGBOARDS

The Moananui Longboarders met to contest the Darryl Williams Trophy. A swell, which pushed consistent lines onto the Centre Reef at Makarori, created a challenging 4 foot peak that the longboarders caught and played with to the best of their abilities.

For the final the surf had deteriorated from the pleasant balmy morning conditions to that of a reasonably strong N E onshore. However the four surfers matched each other wave for wave, point for point and it was left to the judges to decide the winner.
