Cardboard Cup

After many hours of preparation, teams from all over N.Z., brought their cardboard canoes to the Taruheru River.

The final was between the defending Champions, Roger Hansard and Brian Wilson of the Bushmere Flyers and brothers Greg and Carl Thomas of Hamilton.

While the Bushmere Flyers sprinted to the bouy, the Hamilton crew chose the better approach and slipped through on the inside to win comfortably.

The Thomas brothers will represent NZ in the Cardboard Cup in Chicago later this year.
