Coming Up All Black
Once again the Eastern & Central Trustee Savings Bank junior tournament produced some great schoolboy rugby and its a surety some future All Black must have been seen in action. At the conclusion of the three-day series the reps were announced to play Hawke's Bay.
Town North won the Trustee Shield again this year.

Team captain Kevin Williams receives the trophy from city bank branch manager, Mr Graham Bell.
The most outstanding player during the tournament was Henare Simpson. Here he scores his 13th try thus totalling himself 52 points for the series.
Town South were runners-up and won for themselves the White Shield. Their captain, Grant Bradley, receives the trophy from the donor, Mr Jock White.
