Family Reunion

The descendants of the late Robert and Rosina Preston held a family reunion at Hamilton recently and more than 100 people attended the function. Robert and Rosina Preston started farming at Manutuke over 90 years ago. He originally came from Invercargill while she was the former Rosina Bougen, who was born and bred at Makaraka.

The immediate family of the late Mr and Mrs Preston (with wife or husband) is, from left, in front, Ena (Mrs Jack Preston), Isabel (Mrs Bob Preston), Tom Hay, Auckland (husband of the late Rita Preston), Alice, Hamilton (Mrs Tom McEwan), Flora, Hamilton (Mrs Horace Calcott), and Myrtle (Mrs Jim Preston). At back: Jack Preston (New Plymouth), Bob Preston (Gisborne), Tom McEwan, and Jim Preston (Mt Maunganui). Absent: Len Preston and his wife Phyl of Mosgiel.
