Forward "Gold"
The Gisborne "Gold" team came out on top in the Eastern Area Inter-Zone Eliminations for the Roth-mans Inter-Centre Championships which are to be held later this year. Teams from Hawke's Bay, Wairarapa and Gisborne took part in the play, which was held on the Gisborne Club greens.
The 18 carat team is, from left, Frank Hale, Norm Baynes, Alex Ramsay and Tim Dooley (fours); Jack Clark and Des McKenzie (pairs); and Ivan Craill (singles). If they win the Inter-Zone playoff they then get to play the South Island for the Grand Inter-Island Championship. Their final points totalled 14.
