By the untimely death recently of Mr John Letcher, the city lost one of its most admired and useful younger citizens. Mr Letcher was killed by electrocution while working a power saw. He was married only a few weeks before.
Mr Letcher played a leading part in the affairs of the Methodist Church, and was keenly interested in choir work, the YMCA, the Operatic Society, and tennis, hockey and athletics.
