Clear Victory

In his first professional bout, conducted by the, Gisborne Boxing Association, Nigel Aitken scored a unanimous points decision over Invereargi's Steve Nikora. This former Wairoa boxer has a string of successes to his name, and looks to have a very good future in the professional ring. The main bout was preceded by some top class junior matches.

Aitken leads with a straight right. Nikora, blocking well, did not disgrace himself in the match.
