Two-and-a-half-thousand sawn posts made up this last load brought from Rotorua to Gisborne by John Ramsey's vehicle. From now on posts ex-mill will be packaged, i.e., wired up in bundles and fork-lifted on to the trucks. This method will make for very much easier loading but will limit truck loads to a maximum of 2,000 posts. This truck is an International from A. B. C. Motors, is powered with a 212 h. p. motor, has a 20-speed gear box and averages five miles to the gallon.
