The Gisborne winner of the New Zealand-wide Lions Youth of the Year contest is Gillian Skyrme, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Skyrme, Riverside Road. Contestants were judged on academic, leadership, sporting, general knowledge and public speaking qualities as well as personality.
