East Coast Carnival
A total of more than $3,500 was raised from the Waiapu Pastorate for the Anglican Church Queen Carnival. Three areas (Te Araroa, Tikitiki and Rangitukia) each held a contest for a queen and the three successful candidates were crowned at a coronation ceremony in the Tawhiwhirangi Hall on the Tikitiki marae.
