Burning up the Track

A strong wind which at times reached gale proportions, and a dry track which threw up clouds of dust, made riding a tricky business at the Gisborne Motor Cycle Club's N.I. and E.C. championship meeting held at the showgrounds on Anniversary Day.

A big crowd saw some fine racing, especially by the Englishman, E. Williams, who broke the track record and took both the North Island and E.C.titles.

There were thrills aplenty, especially in the big races, and the dust was responsible for a spectacular accident in the last race.
