Bride of the year

One of the few "Bride of the Year" contests ever run in Gisborne was organised in aid of the Swimming Queen for the Olympic Pool Carnival. The ten finalists from 27 entrants paraded before a capacity audience in the Midway pavilion where the winner was Mrs Janet Millier.

Janet is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Stan Lee, 455 Palmerston Road, and was married last May to Graham Millier. Janet is a hairdresser at the Salon Jacqueline. Other finalists are pictured on this and the next page.
