Not Many Got Away!
Judging by the trophies carried off by members of the Gisborne-Tatapouri Sports Fishing Club there weren't very many fish that got away during the 1969-70 season. Prize winners were presented with their trophies by the club president's wife, Mrs J. Honey, at the club's prize-giving cabaret held at the Midway pavilion.
Ken Hough, John Hough, Laurie Tidswell and Peter Christensen. As a team they took second place in the shark and bill-fish section of the 1970 international game fishing contest, while John Hough was the individual winner at the same contest.
