Powerful Drama

Lytton High School's latest stage production drew good audiences to the three-night presentation, Shakespeare's powerful drama about the dark deeds of Macbeth and his lady was well handled by a competent cast.

Colin Hall as Macbeth and Lorraine Poole as Lady Macbeth gave outstanding performances. The play was produced by Mrs Ray Skyrme.

Macduff (Barry Adsett) brings his sword to bear on Macbeth in the last act.

"Out! Out! Damned spot!" Lady Macbeth comes to terms with her conscience over the matter of the king's death.

He wounded captain (Robert Hatwell, centre), brings bad news to Duncan (Robert Kilpatrick). Also pictured are Robyn White and Brian Freestone (right) as soldiers.

Sandra Ericksen, Keren Rickard and Georgina Evans made great play of their parts as the three witches.
