A good close-up shot for those of you who haven't seen a Motu kiwi is at left, while at right, getting to know this strange New Zealand bird are cousins Dean (left) and Jason Peddle.

A visitor to the Central School while he was here recently was L.A.C. Gib Greening, whose parents live at 392 Aberdeen Road. A pupil of the school in his young days, Gib Greening was photographer on the Endeavour when that ship made a scientific research voyage around the Cook Islands recently. With one of the classes crowding the background L.A.C. Greening is fronted by Robert Thompson, Joseph Robin and Tracey Clarke.
