Fire! Fire!

As part of fire prevention week the Manga-papa School pupils and teachers provided an afternoon of singing, dancing, and demonstrations just to show how dangerous fire is.

Highlight of the afternoon was the demonstration of fire fighting methods given by members of the Gisborne Brigade.

Members of the school use creative dancing to show the way a fire spreads. In the centre is Denise Bartlett who played the part of the flame, and surrounding her is the "burning forest".
