The Big Day

The big day of the Cook celebrations took a spectacular turn when, after the quiet impressiveness of the naval ceremony, the civil welcome was extended. Visiting dignitaries, service personnel and local guests were all impressed by the inspiring flypast (opposite).

On arrival, Sir Arthur is greeted by the Mayor, Mr Harry Barker, Mrs Barker and the town clerk, Mr Bill Hudson.
