Interesting Exhibition

Among the exhibitions on show during Cook Week was a most interesting one staged in Williams & Kettle's grain store in Awapuni Road by the Gisborne Museum of Transport and Technology, featuring a bewildering variety of items from the past.

Home appliances included washing machines, sewing machines, etc.

A selection of old implements created a lot of interest among farmers.

Contrasts in transport can be seen in this ancient dray used at Puha and this 1930 Hudson car.

This 1923 Denby fire engine served the Gisborne Fire Brigade for many years.

A selection of old lamps and light sources of earlier days.

×
     

This buggy is more than 100 years old and is in beautiful condition.
