National Appeal

The St. John Ambulance Society is staging a National St. John Week from September 15 to 20. Publicity on radio, TV and in the press, culminating in a house to house appeal on the 20th, will bring to the public's attention the continuing good work done by the brigade. On these pages we show some of the pictures taken by "Photo News" over the years depicting working aspects of St. John.

Not the least of the ambulance services is the availability of aircraft as air ambulances. When necessary, planes converted especially for carrying patients are used to transport urgent cases away from the city for treatment. This is one organisation that merits support from the whole community. You never know when you'll be the one to need the ambulance!
