Stephanie Simpson received her Queen's Guide badge from the Provincial Commissioner, Miss R. Bunt This was the first presentation of a Queen's Guide badge made by Miss Bunt. At right are Stephanie's parents, Mrs and Mr G. M. Simpson.

Kath Thomas recently gained her Diploma of Coaching Badge from the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. To gain this coveted badge a pass is required in 10 subjects, and Kath is one of the very few women in New Zealand to obtain the Diploma.

Warwick Brunton, the son of Mr and Mrs H. Brunton, Seddon Crescent, graduated last year from Victoria University. He took his B.A. with Honours, II Class in the First Division.

Jeanette Croskery did very well for herself at the Speedo T. P. Carnival in Wellington. It was held on December 21 and Jeanette won the 100 yards 11 years breast-stroke and was third in the New Zealand Overall. She was also in the New Zealand 11 years' relay team which was placed third. Jeanette is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Roland Croskery, 157 Roebuck Road.

Len Lynskey has been doing particularly well this season in his tennis. Among the titles he has carried off so far are the Hawkes Bay Under 19 Singles and Doubles championships, the Lytton High Senior Championship, and the Tolaga Bay Under 19 Singles. (Frank Wise).
