A concerted effort by all concerned resulted in the grand total of $2,500 being raised at the Lytton High School gala day. Numerous stalls did great business with good profits from the usual raffles and novelties. In the picture Bruce Fryer, surrounded by a willing crowd of bidders, auctions off poultry.

Glenn Stichbury was pleased to win the six to 12 months' section of the baby show but Jenny van der Weyden (left) who won the up to six months section was a bit tired of the whole thing.
