Some top grade swimming was seen in the Mercantile relay.

Winners of the relay were Ron Colling. Bill Williams and Maurice Hardy from Armstrong & Springhall Ltd.

Second Noel Taylor, were swimmers from N.Z. Insurance: Louise Warner and David Warner.

Starter for this season is Mr Arthur Bacon.

In the under 15 girls' 50yd. butterfly, Frances Van Veen was first and Gael Johnson was second.

Barry White won the under 14 boys' 50yd. butterfly, and second was Andrew Winning.
