Big Find

Karen Pearce and Gillian Lee found this giant puff-ball at Mr Tom Hooper's place in Palmerston Road. The girls, who brought it in to "Photo News" to be photographed reckoned it weighed out pretty heavily at 4lbs.

Funny Picture. From Diane Brown, Grey Street, comes this month's funny picture taken somewhere up in the wilds of Whangara. There is no prize for the smartest remark either!

Good Fishing. It's good to know the fish are still biting - somewhere! From Logan Cameron, 26A Salisbury Road, comes this pic of himself and his brother Colin with 12 of the 16 rainbow trout they caught in the Hangaroa river recently.
