Records Broken

The school was out in full force to lend moral support to competitors in the finals of the Lytton High swimming championships. Held at the Macrae baths in brilliantly fine weather, the events produced three record breaking times. Yvonne Goodall set a new record of 65.5s for the intermediate 100 yds freestyle, and 33s for the open 50yds butterfly, while Joy Ritchie set 1m 38, 4s for the 100yds lbreaststroke.
