Fertiliser Use Increases

Since the introduction five years ago of the new fertiliser Ammo-Phos, the demand, for the product has increased to the stage where it is now brought to Gisborne in bulk instead of in bags as previously.

This fertiliser is made up of phosphate and nitrogen, and, where required, potash and sulphur. Being manufactured in solution, Ammo-Phos becomes granular in its final form. For this reason it will go exactly where it is dropped when it comes to top-dressing by plane. It gives perfect coverage with none of the fertiliser dispersing over parts of the country other than that required to be dressed.

An excellent spread is given, as can be seen from a top-dressing of Ammo-Phos made on Ken Greaves' property in the high hill country at Parikanapa.
