Green Pea Harvester

What's New In Industry

Wattles four new green combines cut down the time taken to gather the crops and totally eliminate the podding of the peas at the factory. In the combine the peas are podded as the machine passes along the windrows and when the container is full of shelled peas they are off-loaded into stainless steel bins on transporters which convey them straight to the factory for immediate processing. Freshness and flavour are maintained, no wastage occurs, and the spent pods are spread out over the paddocks to provide humus for the soil.
