Final Blow

The last of the rock blowing to prepare the channel for deepening by drag-line took place recently. The Yacht Club's project at Kaiti beach will enable power-boats and pleasure craft, as well as yachts, to enter the water at low tide. Membership of the club is on the increase but there is still plenty of room for new members. The force of the last explosion throws mud and rock high into the air.
