Our focus on the fowls took in this charming chick among the chooks. She is Sandra Donnelly, the pretty little daughter of Ray and Pat Donnelly, 2 Albert Street, and the picture was taken on Wally Jonasen's property at Makaraka. Sandra, who is five years old, has just started school, and is very fond of animals.

Back Cover: Susie Riddell (left) and Jane McLachIan came with us to inspect this fine display of Seminole Tangeloes at the orchard of Mr and Mrs Gordon Cameron in Fort Road, Ormond. Tangeloes are growing in popularity in the Gisborne district. They are very juicy. Aren't our lovely models, too?
