An example of the interest taken by the F.B. Rugby Union in the younger players of the district is illustrated each year at the close of the schoolboys' competitions. On the occasibn of the presentation of awards won during the season, the union, assisted by lady supporters, turns on what the boys fondly refer to as "the footy feast," when enormous quantities of ice cream, pies, soda pop and other goodies are distributed to the boys, and consumed in double-quick time.
