Roman Catholic Debutante Ball

Thirteen girls made their debut at the Roman Catholic Debutante Ball held in the R.S.A. Hall.

The girls, presented by their fathers, made their curtsey to Father N. Berridge, administrator of the Star of the Sea parish.

After each had been presented, the girls assembled on the stage for a mass curtsey.

The debutantes are, from left, at back, Christine Leydon, Allison Kent, Leigh Hogan, Patricia Allen, Pam Conole, Barbara Milligan, Diane Cleaver, and in front, Lois Blockley, Julie Morse, Diane Quinn, Patricia Coupe, Elizabeth Parker and Lynnette Picone. Members of the official party are Mrs Esme Tombleson, M.P., Mr T. W. Tombleson, Mrs G. J. Murray, matron of honour, the Rev. Father Berridge, the Mayor, Mr H. H. Barker, and Mrs Barker, and Mr A. J.
