Forty Years On
The Victoria League held an Afternoon Tea and Entertainment recently in the Abercorn Hall for residents over 65 who have been in the district 40 years or more.
A large crowd attended and much appreciated the League's effort.
As League president Miss N. Cotterill looks on, Mrs H. Barker presents the oldest citizen present, Mrs D. H. Pullar, 94,with a bouquet.

John Heikell played and sang
Messrs E. Somervell, E. Tinker and O. Swarbrick are the three oldest men present, whose combined ages total 243 years.
League members present included Mesdames C. W. Tomlinson, M. Perley, Miss M. Cooper and Mrs J. E. Sweeney.
