"Bristling with the latest in atomic-age equipment, the Royal New Zealand Navy's most up-to-date ship" was the description given the cruiser Royalist when she anchored in the bay for a three-day visit to Gisborne in February, 1957......and today she is just out-of-date scrap metal.
