Here And There
Members of the Comet Swimming Club turned out to welcome the Adye family back to Gisborne on their return from England. At the railcar with the banner of welcome are Wendy Fitzgerald, Estelle Mulligan, Kathryn, Alison, Peter and Mrs Nancy Adye, Carolyn Adye, Mrs Beth Meade and baby Christopher, Yvonne Goodall, Shona Twistleton, Elizabeth Hewitt, Mrs Helen Twistleton and in front, Patricia Egan and Raewyn Meade.
On their way home from the recently held Dominion-wide Girl Guide Heritage Trail and Adventure Camp two American Guides, Patti Schoenlank (New Jersey), and Sally Owens (Ohio), paid a short visit to Gisborne. Pattie stayed with Christine Schollum and Sally stayed with Penelope and Amanda Shaw. The girls met Gisborne Guides one evening in the Guide Hall and were each presented with a "Photo News" Holiday Guide to Gisborne.
