Successful Fight

Before a capacity crowd in the Y.M.C.A. Hall foremost local amateur Peter Lister made a successful debut into professional ranks. He scored against opponent Trevor Ditton of Australia in the sixth round of an eight round bout when referee C. Whelan decided Ditton had taken enough punishment and stopped the fight.
