Gold Cud Winner

The Hastings three-year-old, Empyreus, came through the field to take command in the straight and win by five lengths the £1200 Wattie Canneries Gold Cup in the main race of the Saturday meeting concluding the P.B. Turf Club's summer meeting at Makaraka.
