Staff Reunion

Six former staff members of the La Moderne Beauty Salon, which closed its doors in the Masonic Buildings in Gladstone Road 22 years ago, were reunited in Gisborne at Christmas. They are pictured above, from left: Mesdames V. C. Ivess (nee Jean Steel), R. Bartie (Ramond Cox), L. Barratt (Lorna Nicholson), who was proprietoress of the salon, now of Auckland, S. Whyte (Sue Spence), now of Southern Rhodesia, R. A. Dudfield (Maureen Ruddick), and I. M. Jackson (Iris Birkett).
