A capacity crowd attended the annual rugby "wind-up" in the Hauiti Hall. Boy Pipi, captain of the Hauiti team, is pictured being presented with the Whakarua Cup, one of the many trophies his team received, by Mr J. Crarer.

Married at Tolaga's St. Andrew's Church recently were: Mahue Pani (Moss), daughter of Mr and Mrs Te A. Kopua, Tolaga Bay, to Edward Ashdown, son of Mrs F. A. R. Grace, Bartletts.
